The following programs are available for Nevada tribal members:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"gtfy-4\"><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/itcnwic.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Women Infant &amp; Children (WIC) <\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"gtfy-7\">ITCN WIC provides supplemental foods, health care referrals, and nutrition education for qualified pregnant, breastfeeding\/non-breastfeeding postpartum women and to<br>infants and children up to age 5. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"gtfy-10\"><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/itcnccdf.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Child Care Development Fund (CCDF)<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"gtfy-13\">ITCN CCDF provides child care payment assistance and encourages and promotes safe, healthy, nurturing, and high-quality early learning environments for AI\/AN children.  ITCN CCDF currently provides support, resources and assistance to 14 of Nevada\u2019s tribes and urban areas, including Reno, Sparks, Carson City and Las Vegas.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"gtfy-16\"><strong>Head Start<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"gtfy-19\">ITCN Head Start program includes free nutritious meals; vision hearing, physical dental and nutritional assessments; mental health and other services for children and families with disabilities.  At its core, Head Start provides all children with kindergarten readiness skills.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"gtfy-22\"><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/nvnativeworkforce.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Native Workforce Development (NWD)<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"gtfy-25\">The ITCN Native Workforce Development Program (NWD) is federally funded on a four-year cycle.  The purpose of the program is to support employment and training for Native Americans to: develop more academic, occupational and literacy skills; to make individuals more competitive in the workforce and to equip them with entrepreneurial skills necessary for successful self-employment; and promote economic and social development in communities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"gtfy-28\"><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/itcnfvpp\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Family Violence Prevention Program (FVPP)<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"gtfy-31\">ITCN FVPP provides assistance to victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, elder abuse, child abuse, and dating violence.  Services and resources include; emergency shelter, food, clothing, transportation, legal assistance, and assistance with completing applications for services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"gtfy-34\"><strong>Administration on Aging (AoA) Elder&#8217;s Program<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"gtfy-37\">ITCN AoA offers the delivery of home and community-based supportive services, including nutrition services to Native American and Alaska Native elders, as well as, support and resources for family and caregivers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"gtfy-40\"><strong>EPA Tribal\/State Liaison<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"gtfy-43\">ITCN EPA Tribal\/State Liaison facilitates exchanges of information between the State of Nevada Division of Conservation and the Natural Resources and Nevada\u2019s Tribes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"gtfy-46\"><strong>Court of Appeals<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"gtfy-49\">ITCN Court of Appeals was established to provide appellate review of civil and criminal decisions by participating Western Tribes.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Inter-Tribal Council of Nevada provides social service programs, resources and support to Nevada&#8217;s tribal community.
